Call to Action (CTA)

A CTA (Call to Action) prompts the user to a specific next step: "Get a free consultation," "Leave a request." A clear CTA raises conversion.

Back to the knowledge base

A CTA (Call to Action) tells the user exactly what to do next. It can be a button, link, or sentence: "Get a consultation," "See pricing," "Request a demo." Without a CTA, even an interested person leaves not knowing what to do.

A strong CTA is clear, singular, and benefit-oriented. If a page has ten different prompts, none of them work. Attention must be focused on one primary action.

Frequently asked questions

How many CTAs should a page have?

Better to have one primary action (which can repeat in several spots). Many different CTAs split attention and lower conversion — this is called the paradox of choice.
